Welch Packaging Group, Inc. a manufacturer and supplier of custom corrugated boxes for industrial use, as well as retail ready packaging, has announced plans to open a new production facility in Wooster, Ohio The Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) approved the project for tax credit assistance during its recent Ohio Tax Credit Authority meeting. The pportunity will create 50 new jobs in the state.
The facility will add to the growing Welch Packaging network of 20 locations spread across seven states. Focused on vertical integration and supply chain security, the infrastructure put in place in Wooster will enable the company to increase production to meet the rising demands of customers, new and existing.

A local team consisting of members of the City of Wooster and Wayne Economic Development Council, ODOD, JobsOhio, and Team NEO provided the company with information to secure their decision to locate in Northeast Ohio, contingent upon all incentive approvals.
