Flint Group’s 2024 Sustainability Report reveals that it has cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than a third since 2019. The report, which covers the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024, details gains against Flint Group’s PRISM framework, which is centred on Product, Planet, and People. The report shows Flint Group has made a 34 percent reduction in total greenhouse gas emissions against its 2019 baseline, marking steady progress toward its 46.2 percent reduction target by 2030. This includes a 31 percent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
The company has also achieved a 24 percent reduction in total electricity consumption vs its 2022 benchmark, 23 percent of which now comes from renewable sources, while water consumption is 24 percent lower than in 2022 with the initial 5 percent reduction target already achieved. Notably, 2024 saw the company’s commitment to transparency and continuous improvement independently recognized through multiple sustainability assessments, including a Gold Rating from EcoVadis and approval of its greenhouse gas reduction targets from the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Flint Group also achieved strong results in the CDP indices, with a B rating for Climate Change and Water Security and an A- for Supplier Engagement.
