Flint Group has confirmed that its European-manufactured flexographic UV-curable printing ink series for food contact materials (FCM) meets all compositional requirements of the 21st Ordinance amending the Consumer Goods Ordinance (known as German Printing Ink Ordinance – GIO).
The confirmation applies to its flexographic UV and LED-curable inks and coatings that are designed for printing on the non-food contact side of food contact materials, labels & packaging applications. This covers Flexocure ANCORA and EkoCure ANCORA ranges, but also its latest innovation: Flexocure LEAP.
The majority of products were already compliant; however, a range of relevant product formulations have been verified and, where necessary, updated to ensure compliance with provisions introduced under the GIO.
