AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, has released its latest white paper, Artificial Intelligence: A Guideline for Ethical and Safe Use, authored by Mohamed Azzouz, Continuous Improvement Manager at Royal Containers, with contributions from Ryan Peters, Computer Science student at Western University.

This publication is part of AICC’s AI White Paper Series, designed to educate independent packaging manufacturers on the responsible and effective integration of AI technologies into their operations.

“AICC has made it a priority to educate members about Artificial Intelligence because we believe AI will be a difference maker for the Independent,” said AICC President Mike D’Angelo.

As AI becomes increasingly integrated into business operations, this white paper provides a practical framework for ethical use and risk mitigation, offering clarity on data security, transparency, accountability, and fairness in AI deployment. It also includes actionable “Do’s and Don’ts” for using AI in communication, guidance on recognizing AI-generated or manipulated content, and recommendations for building organizational readiness.
