San Jose, California based Transpak, a provider of custom packaging, crating, logistics, and design services, has acquired Peachtree Corners, Georgia based Reid Packaging, according to media reports.
Reid Packaging has operated in the metro Atlanta region since 1982, providing custom packaging for military, aerospace, and high-value industries. Under the leadership of Ward Phillips, the company became one of the largest packaging companies in the region with a 60,000-square-foot facility.
Transpak says it shares Reid Packaging’s commitment to craftsmanship, care and the people behind the work.
“This partnership isn’t just about expansion; it’s about carrying forward the legacy of family businesses built on trust, hard work, and dedication to customers,” the company said.
Tomas Molet, Transpak’s Executive Vice President of East and Midwest Operations, said that Reid Packaging’s prime location in Peachtree Corners will allow them to serve customers throughout the southeast, including direct routes to the Carolinas and beyond. It also strengthens their ability to meet the needs of existing clients in the semiconductor and renewable energy sectors.
Molet said they retained all Reid Packaging employees.
