Burlington, Ontario based Kernic Systems announced the completion on the first phase of a multi-baler installation at a large new grocery distribution center.
The facility required a specialized solution for the cardboard slip sheet waste generated by the automation system. The Maren Engineering Corporation ProPAK 60 Stretch, with a 70” long hopper to easily manage the bulky slip sheet waste, was the perfect fit for the application. Phase one of this multi-baler install included two ProPAK 60S machines with custom slip sheet loading auxillary ports for manual loading.
Stay tuned for phase two, which includes another ProPAK 60S for slip sheet waste, a ProPAK60 with a custom dumping hopper for the high volume of shrink wrap which will be generated once the DC becomes fully operational, and a Bramidan Group 60” vertical baler for smaller volumes of shrink wrap generated on the other side of the facility.
