Atlanta, Georgia based Hood Container announced the appointment of Alan Clark as the new President and Chief Operating Officer, effective January 1, 2025. Clark succeeds Charlie Hodges, who will retire after a nearly 50-year career in the pulp and paper business and the last 12 years as the founding President of Hood Container. Prior to Hood Container, Hodges built his career with companies such as Union Camp Corporation, Georgia Pacific Corporation, Port Townsend Paper Company.
“Alan has an impressive record of performance since joining Hood Container in October 2023, as well as leading important companies in the past such as Jackson Paper and Harper Love,” Hodges said. “I am confident that Alan’s focused approach to problem identification, precise execution of solutions, as well as a driving desire for achieving success through the engagement of colleagues in continuous improvement endeavors will continue the strong performance and growth of the company.”
As President and COO, Alan will focus on continuing Hood’s journey towards commercial excellence, operational efficiency, and enhancing our culture.
