Germany based Koenig & Bauer announced that its more than eight-year relationship with ACTEGA will continue as the two companies have agreed to extend their partnership for another three years. As in the past, a significant focus will be placed on aspects such as the provision of starter kits with products for inline finishing for the commissioning of all newly installed Rapida presses; an agreement covering quality assurance and further development of a range of products; and combined marketing activities including presentations at trade fairs, user events and print demonstrations, as well as the production of print samples.
Many of the agreed activities and measures aim to provide direct benefits for the users. This means that ACTEGA will remain a development partner for Koenig & Bauer in work to optimize finishing processes used in LED-UV production. Coatings from ACTEGA are in constant use in the press demo center during customer events. This enables ongoing quality control processes and continued optimization of the products for use on high-performance sheetfed offset presses from Koenig & Bauer.
Visual and haptic effects are being produced ever more frequently on Rapida sheetfed offset presses with corresponding inline coating facilities; and further new effects and coating qualities are certain to follow.
“Extending the partnership agreement allows us to continue our successful cooperation. Together, we are defining future standards in terms of production speeds and finishing options for high-quality packaging and other print products. Working alongside Koenig & Bauer, we are helping to create a perfect balance between sustainability and finishing,” said Jan Franz Allerkamp, head of the business line Paper & Board, ACTEGA.
