It’s been 62 years since the first edition of Corrugating Defect/Remedy Manual hit the shelves and demand for the updated Seventh Edition was on full display at September’s TAPPI/AICC SuperCorrExpo Conference in Orlando as copies sold out almost immediately, the association said.

This resource for corrugators focuses on remedies and solutions past, such as fingered singlefacers and present, including fingerless singlefacers, either vacuum type or pressure type, and the latest advancements in high-graphics printing and digital printing, while it also addresses defects found in corrugated products.

A focus on the latest advancements in high-graphics printing and digital printing, is designed to ensure it remains relevant in today’s rapidly evolving landscape. It delves into the discussion of digital print, acknowledging the need for a nuanced approach to addressing defects found in corrugated products. It is broken into four distinct parts which examine, among other topics: the equipment and its operators; a myriad of possible defects; diecutting issues; and gap variations. Those topics are further organized into distinct sub-categories, each written to serve as a roadmap to correct defects and help eliminate unintentional issues cropping up in downstream production.

Every page contains color images and lists defects and their remedies including corrugating problems, printing problems, die cutting problems, and gap variation and its causes.
