AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, announced a pivotal learning opportunity — “Production Forum: Artificial Intelligence on the Production Floor,” set for September 10-11, during the TAPPI/AICC SuperCorrExpo in Orlando, Florida.

The forum will provide a deep dive into the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its burgeoning applications within the paper-based packaging manufacturing industry. Attendees will be offered a comprehensive understanding of how AI technologies such as machine learning and predictive analytics are revolutionizing key processes, including quality control, predictive maintenance, supply chain optimization, and efficiency.

Participants will gain insights into AI’s potential to drive innovation, enhance decision-making, and optimize operations. By leveraging AI for real-time monitoring and defect detection, manufacturers can maintain high standards in quality control. AI-driven predictive analytics can foresee equipment failures, reducing downtime and improving predictive maintenance strategies. Enhancements in supply chain processes through AI will lead to greater efficiency and cost reduction, while the application of AI to streamline production processes promises to boost overall operational performance. Presenters include:

Gokul Gopakumar, Vice President of Technology and Business Development at SUN Automation Group: Gokul will lead sessions drawing from his experience in industrial automation and electrical engineering. Holding a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Gokul has held significant leadership roles at SUN Automation, including Director of Electrical Engineering, and Product Owner for Helios IIoT. His expertise in project management, capital budgeting, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) will provide attendees with insights into achieving operational excellence and innovative solutions in manufacturing.

David Wiens, Founder & CEO of BPS AI Software and Budget Box Company General Manager: David will share his knowledge of AI integration and process optimization.
