In the competitive world of packaging, reducing the sales cycle is crucial to staying ahead. Lawrence Paper sought a solution to streamline their pre-order processes and project management before a Request for Quotation (RFQ) becomes an order. Arden Software’s WEBcnx provided the answer, transforming how Lawrence Paper manages its sales cycle.

Lawrence Paper said it is committed to quality and innovation. However, the pre-order phase — where projects are scoped, designs are created, and quotes are prepared — presented challenges that could lead to delays and missed opportunities. To address these issues, Lawrence Paper implemented WEBcnx, a web-based project management tool specifically designed for packaging companies by Arden Software.

According to Rachel West, Technical Services Supervisor at Lawrence Paper, “The main benefits we’ve seen using WEBcnx include our ability to document and trace project outlines. We can go back years and see our thought process and pricing strategy. WEBcnx has allowed LPC to be more efficient with internal communication.”

WEBcnx has delivered several key benefits for Lawrence Paper, particularly in the pre-order phase:

WEBcnx provides a centralized platform for documenting project details, allowing Lawrence Paper to trace project outlines and revisit past decisions. This historical data serves as a valuable reference.

One of the standout features for Lawrence Paper has been the ability to enforce required fields. Rachel said, “The ability to have required fields has been an incredible time saver. We used to have to regularly call Sales to get more information for quotes.” This has reduced the need for follow-up calls, saving time and ensuring that all necessary information is captured upfront.

WEBcnx has streamlined the quoting process, particularly for items requiring print plates/outside purchases. “We have streamlined quoting items that require print plates or outside purchase elements and can have multiple tasks going at one time,” Rachel said.

Automated Task Generation has expedited the pre-order process, reducing the time it takes to move from RFQ to order.
